Sunnysoft Backup Manager enables:

User tips

I. Backup: select all items that you want to backup on the BACKUP tab (contacts , tasks, ... ). Click the backup icon, or MENU and choose BACKUP . Enter a backup name, select a location where the backup will be placed. You can protect the backup with a password, or add a note. Possible backup formats are: internal backup format BKP and selfextracting file EXE, which does not require backup manager to be installed. To save space you may compress the backup file. The backup process can be started by clicking on the BACKUP or OK button.

II. Scheduled backup: on the BACKUP tabselect the items you want to backup (contacts, tasks, ... ). Click the icon for scheduled backup, or MENU and choose Schedule backup. Choose type of scheduled backup on the screen (by battery or by date). You can protect the backup with a password or set other parameters. You can start the backup process by clicking SCHEDULE.

III. Restoring from a backup:
change to the tab RESTORE - choose the backup from the list (the backup information is displayed in the dialog bellow the list). For restoring the backup double click the name of the backup or use the MENU - RESTORE BACKUP. Choose the items to be restored on the next screen and click RESTORE .

IV. Working with locations:
On the tab LOCATION you will find an overview of places where the backup can be stored, you can simply add a new location and thus make the steps of the backup faster. Choose a directory, enter the name of the location and click ASSIGN. By holding the stylus on the location you can delete it. Now you can use the selected location for quicker choice of the bakcup location eather by a scheduled backup or just a single backup.

VI. PC Client:
An application on your Desktop PC constantly monitoring backup files in the PDA and creating their archive. The client performs synchronization in user defined time intervals or upon manual request. The selected backup file can be easily restored with the use of the client.
